Hi, Michelle, this thrasher, or one like it, was still in the grove on my dad, ( Dans) Farm in the sixties and early seventies; we kids called it our ship and played on it. But,
my dad never had nostalgia for the thrasher; he had it removed in the late seventies. The generations before him found it a miracle that made harvesting faster and less labor intense.
My dad’s passion was for the early John Deere tractors. He refurbished many of them.
